What can I expect?

HOW LONG IS An our savior WORSHIP SERVICE?

In total, an Our Savior service is about 75 minutes in length. You will be offered a bulletin as you enter the church. This bulletin will indicate which service we will follow and which songs we will sing. The services and songs are printed in a hymnal found in a hymnal rack on the back of the seat in front of you. The pastor will lead the congregation.

What is a typical service like?

In general, the service has three parts.

The first part is the confession of sins and the receiving of the forgiveness of sins.

The second part is the Service of the Word. Bible passages are read. Pastor will speak a sermon. The congregation will join in prayer.

The third and final part is the Service of the Communion. This is the eating and drinking Christ’s body and blood with bread and wine.

What about baptism and communion?

We practice open baptism and closed communion.

By open baptism, we mean that we baptize infants and those of any age who have not yet received this gift from God.

By closed communion, we mean that we commune those who are baptized, recognize that Christ’s body and blood is not only spiritually present but is also located in their mouth in their eating and drinking, desire to be reconciled to all whom they have sinned against, and have been instructed in both the warning and benefits the Lord gives with His gift.

WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT Our Savior?

Sunday's at Our Savior are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these” [Matthew 19:13].  A child’s faith, like an adult’s, is fed and nourished by hearing God’s Word.  Their rustling and energy are gifts from God for us to enjoy for a little while.  Therefore, you are encouraged to worship with your children in the sanctuary because children are a blessing from the Lord.  If you desire, we have activity bags for use in the sanctuary. To calm your children during times of “distress” a Cry Room and a Playroom are available. The service is broadcast to these rooms so you may listen until you and your child are ready to return.
